Edinburgh is a beautiful city and a warm welcome awaits you at Failte Guest House: Failte actually means welcome in Gaelic.
We are a small terraced villa conveniently situated close to the city centre, Holyrood Palace,Scottish Parliament and Meadowbank Sports Centre. We are also close to the beach with several golf courses in the vicinity and are a 5 minute drive from a cinema complex, bowling alley and the Royal Commonwealth Pool. We are within walking distance of the city centre (approx 35 minutes) and Holyrood Palace (approx 15 minutes) or there is an excellent local bus service (approx 7minutes) and taxis are plentiful. There is free on street parking around the house. It is a lovely walk through Holyrood Park to the Palace and Parliament passing the duck pond and old chapel ruin or for the more adventurous a climb up Arthurs' Seat, an extinct volcano in the middle of the park, produces beautiful views of Edinburgh and over the river to Fife Edinburgh has many historic and beautiful attractions including the Castle, Holyrood Palace, Princes Street Gardens, Royal Yacht Britannia, National Galleries of Scotland and Royal Botanic Gardens. There are also many interesting attractions for children including the Zoo, Dynamic Earth, Royal Museum of Scotland and Butterfly World to name but a few. |
